Try this delicious recipe for homemade garlic bread crouton sticks. Crunchier than garlic bread, easy to make and very portable - these sticks are a beautiful accompaniment to so many dishes.
Perfect popped alongside a bowl of soup, and a tasty garlicky addition to a salad or served alongside a dip.
Make, bake and have them ready to go...
Ingredients

- 3 Ciabatta rolls
- 2 large cloves of garlic
- 1 stick of room temperature salted butter (8 tablespoon or 110g)
Instructions for garlic bread crouton sticks
Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F.
Make the garlic butter by crushing the garlic into the room temperature and mixing well until soft and combined.

Next turn your ciabatta rolls into long sticks.
First cut the rolls in half (as if making into a sub type roll) - then cut each half into thirds - so each roll becomes 6 sticks.

Spread the garlic butter evenly across at least one side of each bread crouton stick.
Place in a baking tray and bake in the oven.
Bake for 15 minutes - then check, turn and bake again for 5 minutes.
Keep checking the croutons to make sure they don't burn - turning on every check for an even bake. Once they look nice and golden, put the baking tray on a cooling rack and let the garlic bread croutons cool.

Storage
Store the garlic bread croutons in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
What goes well with the garlic bread crouton sticks?
These garlic bread crouton sticks would go perfectly alongside a bowl of soup, and they would be delicious dipped in a spinach and artichoke dip. One of my favourite ways to use these sticks is alongside a salad - a great alternative to croutons in a Caesar salad or try my Mexican Salsa and Crayfish Salad - you won't regret it!
